Hi Five For Life cooking classes are based on the Slow Food principles of GOOD, CLEAN, FAIR.

Healthy food should always be good for you and the planet.

We inspire students to eat smarter supporting sustainability and biodiversity.

Cook simple recipes in a sustainable way means understanding the quality of each ingredient and cooking with mostly seasonal, whole food products from local producers.

Students are encouraged to cook food from different cultures and traditions and exposed to diverse ingredients which supports their health and helps them expand their knowledge.

TESTIMONIAL

We sent our two kids (ages 13 and 15) to these cooking classes in the spring of 2019. Before they went, my son couldn’t boil water and my daughter enjoyed baking but did not cook. By the end of the classes, they had made us a delicious meal, had learned about shopping responsibly and could now be trusted to not starve to death if left alone. This summer, we went on vacation and the kids helped us shop, cook (on their own!) and clean. We were super impressed. Karen and Paola are fantastic, interesting instructors and the kids enjoyed their time in the classes. We are thrilled with the outcome. I highly recommend the cooking classes.
